Our Legacy
Founded in 2015, the UW–Parkside App Factory began as an interdisciplinary innovation studio where students, faculty, and community partners came together to solve real-world technology challenges. Operating like a startup, it gave students hands-on experience designing and developing mobile applications for organizations across southeastern Wisconsin while delivering creative, practical solutions to clients.
Over the years it launched projects for nonprofits, municipalities, manufacturers, and local businesses — turning classroom knowledge into community impact and laying the foundation for what would become AI Works.
Get Involved
The financial donations allow us to develop projects for nonprofit organizations that would normally not be able to afford a mobile app. Our student interns are paid through financial donations of clients and donors. Please include “App Factory” in the donation information section.
